Looking Towards a Brighter Future

Located just outside of Jonesborough in the Telford Community, this 5MW (dc) solar farm is capable of producing enough electricity to power more than 500 homes every year. Consisting of 41,000 panels on 41 acres, the solar farm is expected to generate 8 million kilowatt hours annually and produce zero carbon emissions. The system features ground mounted single-axis tracking panels. They slowly move as the sun moves over the farm, maximizing solar production. The Telford Community Solar Farm began generating in December 2018.
