Every device on your network will share some of your bandwidth (speed). The more devices on the network, the more your bandwidth is divided up and the less speed available to individual devices. What you do with each device will also affect your speed. The amount of bandwidth each device uses depends on what it's being used for. For instance, streaming music using Pandora may use as little as 128Kbps (about an 8th of 1Mb) while Netflix suggests a minimum of 25Mbps for a single quality 4k video stream.
